Wausau Area Jaycees - Pepsi Pitch, Hit & Run Competition

The Pitch, Hit & Run program offers boys and girls from ages 7-14 the opportunity to participate free of charge in a baseball skills competition that is supported by Major League Baseball. Pitch, Hit & Run is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the fun element of baseball competition. Participants will compete in three important aspects of baseball: pitching, hitting and running.

Youngsters may advance through four levels of competition – Local, Sectional, Team Championship and National Finals. Members of the Wausau Area Jaycees will conduct the Local competition.

To participate, youngsters must arrive at Athletic Park with a parent or legal guardian, and fill out a release of liability form. Some of these have been distributed in the Wausau area. It is not necessary to fill out a form prior to the competition event. Proof of age is required for registration, in the form of a copy of a birth record, baptismal record, etc.

Practice equipment WILL NOT be provided. Gloves may be brought if desired, however, they are not used for any part of the competition.
Bats ARE provided for the competition. If you wish to use your own bat, please note that:

The bat must meet the requirements for Little League competition.
The bat must be at the park prior to the start of competition.
The bat must remain at the park for the duration of the competition.
The bat will be usable by all other competitors. If you don't wan't anyone else to use your bat, please don't bring it.
